Richard Henry Dana's Two Years Before the Mast is taught in both secondary schools and colleges, mostly in English courses, but occasionally in sociology, history, or other disciplines.

Here you'll find a study guide that covers multiple topics, some suitable for lower grades (say, 9-12) and some more appropriate for post-secondary study. Since you know your students better than anyone, please feel free to pick and choose which questions and ideas you wish your students to explore.
